WTI jumped in February 2021: the monthly average rose to $59.04, up $7.04 (13.5%) from January 2021, the highest monthly average in nominal terms since December 2019. A year earlier, in February 2020, it averaged $50.54, so the price was higher by $8.50 (16.8%) year over year.
